Turntable mat of mixed material (mixing of synthetic felt and carbon fibres) of the Tonar brand (Tonar SKU 5312).
Diameter 295 mm, thickness 2 mm. With spindle hole. Reduces static charge because the carbon fibres dissipate it by conduction to the spindle and the turntable platter.
The use of a turntable mat certainly enhances the colour of the sound of a turntable, but you should bear in mind that the stylus pressure and the traction of the stylus can be influenced by the use of any turntable mat.
If you are going to use a new turntable mat, we recommend that you check the stylus pressure and traction. Use a setting template for this (free to download from the internet) or a protractor and possibly a stylus pressure gauge.
