Winyl W-Mat Acrylic Turntable mat.
Made from 100% perspex (polymethyl methacrylate). Colour: glossy dark-blue.
Winyl S.K.U.: WMA-DBB-295/3.
Diameter 295 mm, thickness 3 mm, weight: approx. 240 grams. With spindle hole and fitted with a deepened black centre tray. Perspex/acrylic is a very hard and rigid plastic. With an acrylic mat you achieve a more clear and open sound image, especially in the treble.
The use of a turntable mat certainly enhances the colour of the sound of a turntable, but you should bear in mind that the stylus pressure and the traction of the stylus can be influenced by the use of any turntable mat.
If you are going to use a new turntable mat, we recommend that you check the stylus pressure and traction. Use a setting template for this (free to download from the internet) or a protractor and possibly a stylus pressure gauge.
